My grandfather (Jerry Le Veque) was the starter of it all. He has been doing pottery for 40+ years and he had the opportunity to transform his garage into a one of a kind gorgeous studio. Which has been an amazing creation and it is a home to over 50 students that get to learn from an extremely talented master potter. Great falls Pottery Studio also has had many world famous potters come and do workshops. He has built such a strong community of people in a small town that he is able to connect with so many potters all over the world after they meet. If you ever are in Montana be sure to stop in and say Hey! He is such an amazing man to connect with.

 My mom (Lena Le Veque) joined in and is a full-time functional potter as well. She has studied abroad in Italy at an art institute called La Meridaina and has taught  classes along side my grandfather in Montana at Great Falls Pottery Co. Many of her students have grown into great potters. She is a lover of throwing BIG pots and she does art shows all over Montana. One of the big shows that she displays some of her bigger pots at is called The Charlie Russell Western Art Week. 

So, where do I fit into all this? I was working in a cubical, hating my life. You know those Pixar shorts where the person leaves their cubical jobs and lives on the beach magically for the rest of their lives? Well, Its not that easy to do what you love, most of the time but I did escape. I called my family and asked if I could join in on this pottery adventure and train with them in Montana for a year. After an entire year of separating my family and working every single day to learn a trade, I became good enough to go back home and build my next step. Now, I am selling handmade pottery to you from Mesa, Arizona in my studio. I want to bring the love that I have for pottery to your home so you can enjoy your functional pots just as much as I do making them. Everyday has been an adventure and I can’t wait to grow more and more and I hope you want to stick with me as I go.
